Engineer Associate (Electrical)

Job Title: Engineer Associate (Electrical) Location: In-Office 5x a week in New Albany, OH Pay Range: $35 per hour Duration:  12mo contract to hire Candidates:  US Citizens or GC Holders As an Engineer Associate, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting various project teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization. What's the Job? Accurately model transmission system topology including impedance and facility ratings for lines, generators, and transformers for Medium, High, and Extra High Voltages. Fulfill various system modeling related requests from Engineering and Operations personnel submitted via ServiceNow ticketing system. Collaborate with others internal/external to the team to model planned projects, build power flow, and short circuit model cases representing the future transmission system. Participate in the planning and organization of project work activities. Perform electrical transmission system analysis and protection system studies, as requested. What's Needed? Preferred education and background in Electrical Engineering with a Bachelor's degree in an ABET accredited program. Demonstrated experience modeling transmission and generation system topology using ASPEN OneLiner and/or Siemens PSSE. Experience with NERC Compliance Standards and performing transmission system fault studies. Ability to apply problem-solving skills to resolve technical problems and initiate solution techniques.
