What this job involves:This position requires a skilled technician to perform chiller preventive maintenance work across a designated geographic territory. You'll be hands-on with water and air cooled chiller systems while identifying energy savings opportunities, conducting quality control audits, and providing technical support to local engineering teams. This truck-based role requires travel within your territory and daily interaction with engineering personnel.Your day-to-day tasks will include:Performing annual and semi-annual preventive maintenance on water and air cooled chiller systemsExecuting repairs on cooling towers, pumps, and various chiller equipmentConducting energy audits to identify system improvements for reduced energy consumptionProviding technical assistance and support to engineering teams throughout the territoryPerforming building evaluations and recommending operational improvementsConducting quality control inspections and preparing deficiency reportsTraveling to various locations within your assigned geographic areaCommunicating with local engineering teams via phone, email, and in-person meetingsDesired experience and technical skills:Requirements:Minimum 10 years experience in commercial HVAC service and repairs with focus on chiller maintenanceUniversal EPA CertificationVocational degree program, apprenticeship completion, or comparable work experienceHands-on repair skills across various chiller manufacturers, cooling towers, pumps, and motorsKnowledge of relevant codes, laws, and regulations affecting commercial real estate operationsProficiency with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, web-based applications, and handheld devicesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong customer service orientation with ability to assess needs and evaluate satisfactionPreferred:Experience with energy efficiency improvements in commercial HVAC systemsMentoring or training experience to help develop skills in engineering team membersKnowledge of multiple chiller system manufacturers and equipment typesExperience preparing technical reports and documentation#HVACjobs
