Job Description

The HVAC Tech, with minimal supervision, the maintenance, the production and the quality for the machinery and equipment by ensuring uptime operation, consisting of mechanical and electrical equipment the operation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical, HVAC, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems. This role may include assisting the Chief Engineer with providing direction to the team.You will work as part of an engineering team of 4 at a 203,851 square foot manufacturing facility in 1204 Old Walhalla Hwy. West Union, SC 29696.This position requires the Lead Operating Engineer to be on-site.  Local market requirements may vary slightly.WHAT YOU’LL DO Complete assigned tasks that include but are not limited to: painting, pressure washing, maintaining lighting system bulbs/ballasts (as allowed by licensing requirements), plumbing, HVAC systems, water treatment, locksmith work and general maintenanceEnsures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive and corrective maintenance requirements. Equipment and tools include chillers, motors, gearboxes, HVAC equipment, pneumatic systems, coupling and motor alignment, roller chain/sprockets alignment and infrastructure in support of production equipment.Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Capable of following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.Assist in supervising and implementing the preventative maintenance programMaintain work order system (CMMS) daily and complete any service requestsAssist in providing training and supervision aimed at expanding the capabilities of Engineering teamSupport on-call or emergency response situationsTroubleshoot all systems, including electrical, DDC and pneumatic controlsComply with all safety proceduresParticipate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programsOther projects and tasks to be assignedWHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE3-5 years of related work experience, especially in repair, maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical or carpentry in an industrial setting.Trade school education, union training, military service or college is desirableUniversal CFC EPA certification or interest in achieving within first year (with JLL assistance)Leadership/supervisory experienceExperience using Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams)Ability to lift up to 50 lbsComfort using ladders up to 30 feet tallAbility to frequently climb, bend, kneel, lift and/or driveStrong customer service skillsWHAT’S IN IT FOR YOUJoin an industry leader and shape the future of commercial real estate Deep investment in cutting-edge technology to power your work Proposed salary: $28.00 - $32.00Comprehensive and competitive benefits plan A supportive, caring and diverse work environment designed for your growth and well-being
