Senior Operating Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior HVAC Engineer to join our team in Mountain View, CA. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and components, with a proven track record of diagnosing and resolving complex HVAC issues. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.Location: Mountain View, CAType: Full-time, On-siteSchedule: Day shiftPay Rate: $59.13/hrKey Responsibilities:Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of HVAC principles, system components, electrical wiring, and refrigerant handling.Diagnose and repair malfunctions in HVAC systems, identify faulty components, replace parts, and restore proper functionality.Analyze system issues by checking Building Automation Systems (BAS), blueprints, diagrams, schematic readings, pressure readings, airflow, electrical wiring diagrams, and other indicators to pinpoint the cause of problems.Explain HVAC system issues to building occupants, discuss maintenance options, and answer questions about system operation.Perform preventive maintenance on HVACR and chiller systems, including mobilization of tools, equipment, and materials.Provide support for co-workers, contractors, vendors, project managers, building managers, engineers, and others as necessary to support work.Ensure work is performed in a manner consistent with established work practices and quality standards.Assist other trades periodically in times of need.Perform troubleshooting techniques on equipment to determine problems and effect repairs promptly and efficiently to minimize downtime.Perform any and all other assigned duties/tasks.Required Skills and Experience:5+ years of Skilled Trades experience5+ years of experience working with HVAC and refrigeration systemsEPA 608 Universal CertificationValid driver's licenseHigh School diploma or GED equivalentIn-depth knowledge and experience with various building equipmentStrong communication skillsAbility to read and interpret work from drawings, written work orders, sketches, blueprints, and technical manualsPhysical requirements:Prolonged standing and walkingRepeated bending, squatting, stooping, and working in uncomfortable and tiring positionsWorking on ladders or scaffoldingHeavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.)Ability to work at an accelerated pace in emergency conditionsIf you are passionate about HVAC engineering and have the skills and experience we're looking for, we encourage you to apply for this challenging and rewarding position in Mountain View, CA.
