As the School Director at Atlantis Academy, you will play a pivotal role in transforming student outcomes by championing excellence in instruction and fostering an environment of continuous academic growth. Serving as the instructional leader, you will inspire and guide our dedicated staff to consistently deliver high-quality teaching practices aligned with Atlantis Academy's proven educational strategies. Your leadership will ensure that policies and procedures are implemented effectively, creating a supportive and efficient learning environment where every student can thrive. ‖ Responsibilities Include: Providing visionary leadership that enhances student achievement and operational effectiveness by supervising staff, creating and executing performance management strategies, identifying professional development needs, and engaging in continuous professional growth. Participating proactively in hiring and selection processes to build and maintain a high-performing educational team. Guiding and supporting teachers in developing effective classroom schedules, managing student data, and facilitating personalized student transition plans aligned with individual educational goals. Consulting and collaborating with educators to enhance instruction in social, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills. Supervising and mentoring staff by assigning responsibilities, developing personalized professional growth plans, continuously assessing performance, and providing targeted coaching and feedback. Actively recognizing team achievements and addressing performance issues to maintain a productive, positive working environment. Ensuring the safety and well-being of students and staff by adhering to operational guidelines, promptly addressing incidents, and maintaining a secure educational setting. Managing comprehensive school operations, including daily scheduling, custodial and maintenance services, food services, transportation, administrative functions, budgeting, resource allocation, and fostering strong district and community relationships. Representing Atlantis Academy professionally through effective communication and meaningful collaboration with families, district representatives, and community stakeholders. Analyzing staff professional development requirements and aligning professional learning initiatives with Atlantis Academy"s instructional vision. Instructing, supervising, and evaluating the effective use of instructional materials and equipment by teachers to ensure consistent instructional fidelity and robust student performance evaluation. Observing, assessing, and documenting both staff and student progress, delivering insightful feedback to promote continuous development. Maintaining thorough and accurate student records in compliance with legal standards and Atlantis Academy policies. Compiling, analyzing, and utilizing assessment data to monitor student growth, inform instructional strategies, and determine targeted academic interventions. Modeling and ensuring adherence to Atlantis Academy"s identified instructional practices and methodologies to facilitate dynamic, active learning experiences. Managing student behavior proactively through the implementation of positive behavioral interventions and support systems. Participating actively in quality assurance and accreditation processes to ensure program compliance and achieve performance goals. Staying informed on research-based best practices and contemporary developments in education and instruction. Providing, seeking, and responding effectively to constructive feedback, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborating effectively with site teams, field-level support, and national leadership to advance organizational goals and promote overall success. This position operates with oversight and guidance from the regional administrator in carrying out their essential duties and responsibilities to provide overall leadership, quality assurance, managerial and administrative support for the Atlantis Academy site. ‖ Qualifications Required: Bachelor's degree or higher in education, educational leadership, special education or a closely related field of study. Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements. Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining applicable educational leadership, school administrator and/or special education credential preferred. Prior experience working in an educational leadership or school administrator position, preferably in a special education program setting. Prior experience and highly knowledgeable in the development, assessment, and management of curriculum, content areas and instruction in a classroom setting. Effective budgetary management skills and comprehensive knowledge of administrative and school operations, functions and staffing requirements. Prior experience and/or knowledge in special education services and compliance, particularly for students with autism spectrum disorders and/or related disabilities. Proficiency in providing motivation and having critical conversations with students that help move them toward realistic goals. Highly skilled in building relationships with students, parents, teachers and community and/or business partners. Prior experience and highly skilled in providing training, professional development and/or coaching to teachers and education staff. Proficiency in education admission and enrollment procedures, state funding, grants and scholarship programs. Knowledge of applicable state licensure, certification, accreditation laws and regulations. Advanced oral and written communication, organization, conflict resolution, multitasking, problem solving, and decision-making ability. Proven ability to manage projects, effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while maintaining organization and attention to detail. Well-versed in the use of relevant technology including experience with instructional technology, Microsoft Office Suite, database entry and basic office equipment. Skilled leader who exhibits the characteristics of servant leadership, looking to the needs of the team and seeking to help solve problems and promote personal development.
