Job SummaryThe Aggregate Operations Foreman is responsible for leading the daily task of production requirements regarding safety, quality, productivity and maintenance. That’s why we give you a wide range of benefits to choose from.  All regular full time employees may enroll in a variety of health and welfare plans including medical, dental and vision plans.  Other benefits include life insurance, disability coverage, employee assistance program, and retirement program.  The company also has a variety of voluntary benefits for employees to choose from.ResponsibilitiesMaintains proper material quality and inventory levels of material to meet demandPerforms plant maintenance - maintains a safe, clean and environmentally compliant operationPerforms safety/quality/mechanical inspections of the plant and mobile equipmentAddresses any housekeeping issues within the work areaOperates loaders, excavators, haul trucks, skid steers and bull dozersUnderstands the process flow of the plant and is diligent in producing a quality productRegularly monitors performance all process pieces of the plantAccurately completes and maintains reports and compliance records (maintenance, environmental, safety & production)Successfully completes and maintains Method 9 Emissions certificationUnderstands MSHA rules and regulationsEducationHigh school diploma/GEDRequirements/QualificationsBackground in aggregate plant operations - Knowledge of the equipment and methods used in the production process, and related aspects of materials storage, handling and distribution of aggregateExperience as a heavy equipment operator including loaders, bull dozers, off road trucks and excavatorsHands on experience and knowledge of crushers, screens, washing plants, pumps, haul trucks and loadersPhysical requirements:  walk, climb, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, drive, ride, twist, push/pull of controls and ride on rough terrainAble to lift and or move 75 lbs. on a routine basis; 100 lbs. on an occasional basisAble to work in wet and dry conditions as well as extreme heat or coldStrong leadership skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsAble to work well with others in a fast-paced environmentCurrent MSHA training certification a plusExperience welding and cutting preferredConditions of EmploymentSuccessful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
