Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Control Systems Technician to join our team at Bayer's Chesterfield, Missouri facility. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated control systems that support our manufacturing and research operations.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot industrial control systems including PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems, and related instrumentationDiagnose and resolve technical issues with control hardware, software, and communication networksPerform preventative maintenance on control equipment to ensure optimal operationConfigure and program control systems to meet production requirementsReview and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manualsDocument all maintenance activities, modifications, and system configurationsSupport validation activities for control systems in compliance with industry regulationsCollaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to improve system reliabilityQualificationsExperience working with industrial control systemsUnderstanding of PLC programmingExperience with SCADA systems, HMI interfaces, and industrial networksKnowledge of instrumentation principles and calibration techniquesAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&ID drawingsExcellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong communication skills and ability to work in a team environmentExperience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences manufacturing preferredPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds occasionallyCapable of working in various environments including manufacturing floors, mechanical rooms, and laboratory settingsMay require climbing ladders, working at heights, and in confined spacesAbility to wear required PPE as needed for specific work environmentsBenefitsCompetitive salaryComprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid time off and holidaysProfessional development opportunitiesEmployee wellness programsBayer is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
