Entity: Supply, Trading & ShippingJob Family Group: Strategic Planning & Business Development GroupJob Description: About the Role:The Products Supply & Logistics Negotiator is a key member of the Midstream Products Americas team accountable for developing new business opportunities, building relationships with appropriate logistics partners/suppliers, negotiating and managing term agreements and exercising a combination of commercial and technical rigor to help achieve bp's growth objectives! These agreements include supply purchase, transportation, terminal service and storage agreements.This role sits on the Logistics Business Development team supporting both RPT and FS&M.Key Responsibilities:Identify and develop new opportunities to deliver incremental commercial performance for bp.Negotiate commercial transactions to ensure delivery is within established negotiating boundaries, expected timelines and expected performance objectives.Develop and manage external supply and midstream relationships to better understand the external and competitive landscape. With this knowledge and clear understanding of products trading and supply strategy and priorities, craft tactical supply and logistics strategies and prioritize opportunities.Actively manage portfolio of logistics agreements considering business and trading strategy, cost, optionality, terminal performance, and utilization.Understand and apply evolving clean fuels regulations and help advise bp’s feedback to the governing regulatory bodiesProvide analytical support, project justification and ensure adherence to internal authorization process for growth projectsDevelop effective working relationships and engage internal collaborators across RPT and FS&M to enable commercial execution of agreements.Work closely with trading, operations and supply to understand the business drivers to deliver reliable, efficient supply while generating maximum value for the overall supply chain.Complete transactions consistent with bp standards, control processes and policies.Lead cross functional teams to ensure successful implementation of contracts/projects.Role Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in business, science or engineering5+ years of experience in an integrated oil supply chain in Midstream / Supply & Optimization, Trading, commercial delivery experience across multiple markets preferred.Prior commercial negotiations experienceAbility to build and maintain productive working relationships with external parties.Proven commercial savvy with ability to find opportunities and deliver results. Strong performance bias and ability to overcome obstacles.Strong influencing and team building skills, with an ability to build consensus and engagement with key collaborators at all levels and across organizational boundaries.Multifaceted interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels throughout the various functional areas of the organization.Able to optimize supply sources, logistics and inventory to meet demand and improve gross margin.Drives strategy development and execution.Third party contract negotiations. Knowledge of key contractual terms and role they play in mitigating risk for bp.How much we pay (Base): $170,000-$200,000 *Note that the pay range listed for this position is a genuinely expected and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.This position is eligible for US Benefits – Core. This position offers paid vacation depending on your years of relevant industry experience and will range from 120 – 240 hours[LC1] of vacation per year for full time employees (60 - 240 hours of vacation per year for part time employees). You will also be eligible for 9 paid holidays per year and 2 personal choice holidays.
