Overview: Responsible for supporting the HR Business Partner and HR Manager in performing multiple tasks associated with employee data management, HR planning, employee relations, employee engagement and compensation. Responsibilities: Complete unemployment claim documents and attend hearings as neededTrack and monitor employee site rosters and follow up with leadership on any issues related to inaccurate informationTrack and monitor timecard reports for missing timecard approversMonitor employee location compared to time charged in payroll weekly and follow as needed on inaccuraciesAudit Field Hourly Review report to ensure reviews are being completed in a timely mannerAssist with data entry and Employee Status Record (ESR) changes as requested by HR Business Partners and CompensationAssist with demotion letters as neededManage promotion and demotion lettersProvide retention metrics using the information gathered from ESRsComplete audits and follow up with leadership and HR Manager on any issues related to inaccurate informationAssist with tracking of expectation documents and individual development plans ensuring accuracy in status and reportingAssist HRBP’S to provide guidance, advice, and training to field managers and employees, on employee relations and HR topics, including policy and procedure interpretationCoordinate with HRBP to advise leadership on correction action (discipline) for employee’s misconduct, employee performance issues, or serious violations of policiesAssist HRBPs and Managers as needed for any employee discipline and employee relations issues to ensure consistent and fair treatment of all employeesCoordinate with HRBP’s and Managers on training field management on Craft performance assessments and track all assessments to ensure they are being done as neededCoordinate face to face exit interviews as needed by the HRBP and ManagerSet up new hire/mentor meetings as requested by leadershipResearch employee issues (payroll, wages, personnel issues, etc.)Assist HRBPs on the annual review process – tracking, monitoring, filing, etc.Provide assistance to the HRBP and Manager with submitting needed ESRs – transfers, titles, wages, vehicle/vehicle allowance changes, etc.Understand and comply with federal, state, and local employment lawsAssist employees returning from a Leave of Absence with project assignment (if needed) and any needed documentsAssist in all areas of HR and complete other duties/projects as assignedSupport company policies and guidelinesOther duties as assigned Qualifications: EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSAssociates or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferredTwo years HR experienceKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward CE&I’s Zero Injury principlesOutstanding customer service skillsStrong computer skills and proficiency of Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPointAbility to build strong relationshipsEffectively present information and respond to questions from employeesAbility to multi-taskStrong attention to detail and focus on data entry accuracyStrong work ethic and ability to work within minimal supervisionExcellent verbal and written communication skills MasTec, Inc. is an equal employment opportunity employer.
