The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Oracle Database Administration, EBS architecture, and upgrade methodologies.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Oracle EBS Database Administrator to join our IT team. This position will be full-time, hybrid, and is a contract position. What You'll DoDevelop a comprehensive upgrade plan for Oracle EBS from 12.1 to the latest subversion of 12.2, including risk assessment and rollback strategiesPerform technical analysis, impact assessment, and design pre-upgrade validation to ensure a smooth transitionDetermine impact to Basis2 customer information/water billing system and factor into upgrade planPlan installation and configuration of Oracle EBS 12.2, including WebLogic, Fusion Middleware, and Online Patching (ADOP)Define optimization of the Oracle Database (if required) in alignment with EBS 12.2 compatibilityIn collaboration with the Basis2 custom module's vendor, define code customizations and retrofitting as needed to ensure compatibility with 12.2Design cloning, backup, and recovery processes to safeguard data during the upgradeCreate plan for troubleshooting and resolving performance, patching, and configuration issues post upgradeWork closely with functional consultants, developers, and business users to develop a comprehensive plan that ensures minimal disruption to business operationConduct training and documentation for internal teams on new features and best practicesWhat You'll NeedRequired:7+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle EBS DBA with expertise in versions 12.1 and 12.2 on the Windows Server Operating SystemStrong knowledge of Oracle Database (11g, 12c, 19c), including RMAN, Data Guard, and performance tuningExperience with Oracle EBS 12.2 upgrade processes, including ADOP (Online Patching), WebLogic, and Fusion MiddlewareProficiency in cloning, backup/recovery, patching, and migration of EBS environmentsStrong knowledge of Windows environments, scripting, and automationHands-on experience with Oracle Applications DBA (AD utilities, AutoConfig, ADOP, rapid clone, etc.)Experience in customization impact assessment, and code remediationUnderstanding of Oracle Security, Concurrent Processing, and Application Tier ArchitecturePreferred:Experience with Oracle performance monitoring, tuning, and optimizationAbility to provide technical guidance to business and executive audiences in clear, concise, understandable, and actionable termsCertification in Oracle DBA or EBS is a plusPhysical DemandsAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standardsSedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitorThe pay range for this position is $67.00 - $72.00 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access.
