Your day-to-day will include:Leading and mentoring mechanics and preventative maintenance techniciansCoordinating maintenance schedules and assigning work across shop personnelOverseeing diagnostics, repairs, and testing of trucks and heavy equipmentManaging inventory and securing cost-effective vendor pricingHandling emergency road calls and coordinating outside service when neededSupporting financial forecasting and maintaining departmental budgetsEnsuring compliance with DOT and corporate safety standardsCommunicating regularly with the Region Maintenance Manager✅ Requirements5+ years of experience in truck, light, or heavy equipment maintenance (waste industry a plus)Strong knowledge of air brake, hydraulic, and electrical systemsProven leadership and team development skillsWorking knowledge of DOT complianceHigh School Diploma or equivalent (Trade/Technical School preferred)? Benefits Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceFlexible Spending Account (FSA)Long & Short-Term DisabilityLife Insurance401(k) with company matchWaste Connections is an equal opportunity employer.
