RESPONSIBILITIES: Competently and conscientiously perform the required vehicle and equipment inspections and servicing, recording results accurately and completelySafe operation of equipmentDemonstrate a complete familiarity with Deer Valley's terrain and grooming routesConsistently provide above average or better results using any of Deer Valley's grooming equipment on all Deer Valley terrainSuccessfully execute assignments effectively and efficiently without direct supervisionProvide effective guidance to other operators when designated to lead a group assignmentSuccessfully execute specialized assignments: i.e., maze and ramp work, special plow jobs, skier access, winch operations, etc.Quickly and accurately identify problems with projects or equipment and be able to offer appropriate solutions or alternativesEffectively participate in project related decision making and be supportive of the ultimate solutionsPossess the ability to coordinate one's grooming techniques with those of others during group projectsAssist in the training and development of other operatorsExhibit a continuous effort to increase one's grooming effectiveness and efficiencyAssist mechanics or coworkers with minor repairs and equipment changesMaintain the cleanliness or equipment and facilitiesExhibit professional conduct and proper radio etiquetteREQUIREMENTS: Advanced grooming skills in the use of all Deer Valley grooming equipment on all terrainA good operational and mechanical knowledge of all Deer Valley grooming equipmentComplete familiarity with Deer Valley's terrainAn advanced understanding of grooming objectives and techniquesGood concentrationReceptive and responsive to instructionsSafety consciousAbility to work well with othersCommunication skills and dependabilityMust be willing to work swing and graveyard shiftMust provide basic tool kitMust have reliable transportation for extreme conditionsMust have a phone to maintain communicationDATES OF EMPLOYMENT 11/10/2025 - 04/24/2026PAY RATE: Wage varies depending on experienceDeer Valley Resort is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
