Tue- Sat 5am start.Facilities Maintenance ManagerRole Overview:Hands-on leadership role overseeing two warehouse/distribution centers (totaling 200,000 sq. ft.)Supports food distribution and cold storage operationsEnsures 24/7 facility coverage, compliance, safety, and system uptimeKey Responsibilities:Facility Oversight (60%):Manage daily operations across DC and VA locations (requires commuting)Oversee HVAC, refrigeration, BMS, fire/life safety, solar panels, cold storage, and security systemsMaintain critical infrastructure: elevators, dock doors, UPS, and generatorsPreventive & Corrective Maintenance (10%):Develop preventive maintenance schedules via CMMSPerform timely equipment repairs and lead auditsCompliance & Safety (10%):Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, ADA, and AIB food safety standardsMaintain documentation for inspections, permits, and logsTeam & Vendor Management (10%):Lead, train, and support the facilities maintenance teamOversee vendor contracts for specialized services (HVAC, elevators, janitorial, etc.)Budget & Strategic Planning (10%):Manage facilities budget and identify cost-saving opportunitiesPlan for expansions, upgrades, and capital projectsRequirements:Minimum 7 years of experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or food facility maintenanceStrong knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, BMS, and safety systemsExperience with multi-site, 24/7 operationsProficient with CMMS and Microsoft OfficeStrong leadership and troubleshooting skillsPreferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related fieldCertifications such as CFM, BOC, or EPA Universal HVACExperience with FDA/USDA regulated environmentsFamiliarity with LEAN or 5S practicesOther Skills/Conditions:Strong communication and leadership across departmentsAbility to manage diverse teams and improve systems/processesMust work in warehouse conditions with exposure to forklifts, coolers, and outdoor elementsReporting Line:Reports to the Senior Manager of OperationsBenefitsCompetitive weekly payMedical, dental and vision insuranceLife and disability insurancePaid time off401K TransForce drivers are respected professionals.
