Location: Durham, NCCompensation: $28/hr - $32/hr, depending on experienceSchedule: During peak season, this team operates on a 24/7 schedule to meet customer demand. Flexibility is key, and workweeks may exceed 40 hoursOverview:Avenica is currently evaluating talent for a Pool Repair and Service Technician with a leading pool service provider in the Greater Charlotte, NC area. With over 30 years of industry experience, this company has built a trusted reputation for delivering full-service pool care—including maintenance, repairs, and retail solutions. You Will Be Responsible for:Maintain residential customers pools and/or spas by providing weekly maintenance service which includes but is not limited to, brushing pool/spa walls, vacuuming, cleaning filter cartridges, chemical readings and dosing.Repair or Install replacement equipment and parts per manufacturers specifications to honor manufacturers warranties.Complete equipment preventive maintenance in accordance with established standardsTroubleshoot, analyze and repair pool and/or spa equipment malfunctions in accordance with EPA established standards.Follow maintenance schedule to complete accurate and timely equipment maintenance and operating logs.Complete documentation, including but not limited to, timesheets, expense reports, service reports and purchase card logs.Conduct general tasks including, but not limited to, safety training, group meetings and maintaining tools and vehicleRequirement to work overtime during the week and/or weekends.About You:You are excited about a work culture that’s big on relationships, dignity, flourishing, and winning.You know how to research and find answers and solutions to problems and don’t shy away from doing so.Creating order out of chaos, and finding a better way is just something you do. If you can automate it or improve it, you don’t hesitate to do it.You’re results-oriented and measure everything for yourself as much as you do it for the business.You’re competitive without compromising your values or integrity.Requirements: High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent required.A valid Driver’s License is required with clean driving record.A minimum of 2 years consistent work experience is field service / customer service role where you have worked independently.This role is also a strong match for individuals with transferable experience from HVAC, plumbing, appliance repair, marine systems, or facilities maintenance.This role involves physical tasks that are essential to job performance, including lifting, kneeling, bending, and standing for extended periods in an outdoor environment.Accountable, reliable and a courteous attitude towards our customers.Ability to read and comprehend instructions including, but not limited to, safety policies and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Prior experience / knowledge in a home service industry is a plus.Basic mathematical abilities in all units of measure. Read technical schematics as well as specification manuals.
