The variety of challenges will keep you growing and engaged.  Position Specifics:Location: Charter Steel: 1658 Cold Springs Rd. Saukville, WI 53080Shift: This position follows our 5-2-2-5 rotating night shift schedule. You’ll work five nights on, five nights off, two nights on, two nights off—giving you a great work-life balance with regular extended breaks.Shifts are 12 hours, starting at 4:30 PM and ending at 4:30 AM.It’s a consistent, predictable rotation that gives you built-in time off without using PTO.What you'll do: Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and maintain a wide range of mechanical systems to keep operations running smoothlyPerform preventative maintenance (PMs) and equipment calibrations to optimize performance and reliabilityWork hands-on with hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, and power transmission systemsSafely operate and maintain industrial tools and mobile equipment including cranes and forkliftsPartner with Electrical Maintenance Technicians to tackle cross-functional maintenance tasksAlways prioritize safety by strictly adhering to protocols such as lockout/tagout, fall protection, and confined space entry proceduresWhat you will bring: High school diploma or GED (Don’t have one? We’ve got you covered with our free GEDWorks program.)3+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experienceStrong skills in:Machining and weldingHydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, and plumbingPower transmission systems, including bearings, gearing, conveyors, fans, shaft alignment, sprockets, and coupling. Experience with overhead crane troubleshooting and repairProficient in rigging and lifting proceduresSkilled in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipersA true team player with strong problem-solving abilitiesNice to haves: Journeyman Certification or completion of a formal apprenticeship programHands-on experience with SMAW, MIG, and/or TIG weldingPrevious work experience in the steel or heavy manufacturing industryFabrication skills and a basic understanding of electrical systemsUp-to-date safety certifications and a strong awareness of industry-standard safety practicesPhysical Demands & Work Environment:Regular standing, walking, lifting (up to 100lbs), and use of hand toolsExposure to heat, cold, grease, and working at elevated heights.Ready to get to work?
