In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.Individuals in this role will work on new product launch working cross functionally with partners from operations, supply chain and development teams. This position will own or lead activities as individual contributor, as well as manage projects with members from cross functional teams to enable successful transfer of design to manufacturing, initial launch and future ramp.What You’ll Work OnLead various aspects of Operations Readiness as part of launching new products for Abbott’s Electrophysiology business unitEngage with development (Research and Development and Process Development) teams to build knowledge for current state operations and use insight to build plans and execute successful design transfers and ramp.Engage with operations (Production and Supply Chain) teams to build ramp plans, new line introduction plans including equipment ordering, receipt, qualification and validation.  Drive cross functional engagement to support process, product and equipment improvements. Provide guidance to other engineers and technicians.  Additional responsibilities include:Provide technical mentorship to engineers and techniciansConduct Process FMEAs and Process ValidationsImprove product quality, labor efficiency, and throughput through the use of Lean manufacturing conceptsCoordinate the design, procurement, build and debug of tooling, machinery and test equipmentWork with Product Development to ensure Design for ManufacturabilityIndividual should:Be innovative, resourceful, and work with minimal directionHave excellent organization, problem solving, communication, and team leadership skillsHave ability to multitask, prioritize their work and make data driven decisionsWork effectively with cross-functional teams    Required QualificationsMechanical, Chemical, Biomedical or any engineering or technical degree or equivalent experience requiredMinimum 5 years manufacturing engineering experience.
