What this job involves:This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing building systems, equipment, and infrastructure to ensure optimal facility operations. The role involves working with electrical systems, HVAC equipment, plumbing, and specialized automation systems while supporting production operations in a fast-paced environment. The technician will work both independently and as part of a team to maintain compliance with safety standards and operational requirements.Your day-to-day tasks will include: • Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts and perform minor electrical troubleshooting and repairs• Troubleshoot and repair motors, pumps, and HVAC/R equipment• Support and maintain conveyor and sortation systems, including troubleshooting equipment such as scanners, printers, scales, and networks• Identify, maintain, and troubleshoot PLCs and PLC components• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on rooftop equipment, refrigeration systems, auto/overhead doors, and food service equipment• Execute plumbing repairs and general interior maintenance tasks• Participate in on-call and after-hours emergency response as needed• Document work performance and materials procurement as directed by management• Maintain compliance with safety procedures and all applicable state, county, and city codes and regulationsDesired experience and technical skills:Requirements:• High school diploma or GED equivalent • Electrical hands-on experience with 480V 3-phase, 110 VAC, and 24VDC systems• Ability to identify, maintain, and troubleshoot motor controls including starters, VFDs, and DC drives• Experience with food service equipment identification and maintenance• Reasoning, analytical, and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret mechanical and electrical drawings• Valid state driver's license and ability to pass background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening• Physical ability to lift a minimum 80 lbs., use ladders up to 30 ft., and perform frequent climbing, bending, and kneeling• Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written• Flexibility to work 7 days a week operation, including holidaysPreferred: • Completion of applicable technical training program with a minimum one year of building repair and maintenance experience• Systems controls knowledge or programming experience• EPA Certification (Type 1, 2, or Universal)• Experience with UPS components and advanced automation control systems• UST Class B Certification#HVACjobs
