Position Overview: Position will ensure service levels as outlined in the company strategic plans within the shipping, receiving and replenishing departments. The position is responsible for daily operations, process improvement and staff development. Position Details: Seasonal Weekend Shift: Friday - Sunday 6:00AM - 6:30PM  Work Environment:At Duluth Trading Company, we fundamentally believe in strong in-person interactions as our culture thrives when we learn, create, and collaborate with each other. The position will be based in our Belleville, Wisconsin Fulfillment Center. What You’ll Do: Typical schedule is 36 hrs/week plus additional hours as requiredPrioritize and direct daily work assignments of department staff. Create and maintain weekly employee schedulesReview daily hours to ensure accurate costs for the Department Update schedule on a daily basis for accurate tracking of employeesIs proactive in maintaining communication with the rest of the departments in the F.C. to ensure proper staffing to support order volumeSpend a majority of the shift monitoring the floor and helping with workflow, answering questions, and ensuring high morale in the departmentEnsure effective hiring and training of employeesEnsure department staff follows company policies: Safety Housekeeping Attendance and break schedules Special assignments as requested by FC Supervisor, F.C. Manager. All policies as outlined in employee handbook Meet quarterly goals created by FC ManagerOccasionally use equiment(lifts, pickers, etc) as needed to maintain service levelsWrite and deliver yearly performance reviews for direct hourly reportsAssure that all actions taken with regard to direct reports are in accordance with established company policiesWhat We’re Looking For:High school diploma Equivalent work experience would be considered 1+ year of experience as a lead/supervisor of a mid-size to large size distribution/fulfillment center.  Direct-to-consumer fulfillment experience a plus Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication Sense of urgency in accomplishing objectives Exceptional leadership ability Adept problem-solver and analytical thinker Proven coaching and mentoring skills Spreadsheet and word processing proficiency Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship Physical Environment Standing or walking for up to twelve hours a dayFrequently lifting up to thirty pounds, occasionally lifting up to seventy poundsFrequently reaching, twisting, and bending in multiple directionsAbility to perform work in tight quarter workstations.
