Maintenance Technician Assistant - 2nd Shift

Compensation: $19.00 - $20.00 per hourWhat this job involves: As a Maintenance Technician on 2nd shift at our medical products distribution facility, you'll be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient warehouse environment. This role combines routine facility maintenance with material handling equipment support to ensure seamless operations in our critical healthcare supply chain.What your day-to-day will look like:Change material handling equipment (MHE) batteries during scheduled maintenance windowsEmpty trash receptacles and gaylords when ¾ full in assigned areas (interior and exterior)Dust mop and maintain cleanliness along shipping and receiving docksRemove debris and trash from aisles and walkways throughout your designated zonePerform under-rack cleaning and maintenance (rotating through all aisles monthly)Clear dock door areas of load stops, lumber, and other materialsSupport pest control efforts by ensuring doors and containers remain closedAssist maintenance technicians with equipment inspections and repairs as neededPeriodic Duties:Weekly: Clean compactor areas of debris and sandMonthly: Remove spider webs from interior walls and clear exterior truck yard areasQuarterly: Vacuum fire safety equipment areas and clean sanitation linesAnnually: Deep clean sanitation systems and dock door maintenanceWork Schedule: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday with occasional overtimeRequired Qualifications:Proficiency with PC and mobile devices for work orders, email, time tracking, and safety trainingAbility to work independently and follow detailed maintenance schedulesPhysical capability to perform cleaning, lifting, and maintenance tasksCommitment to safety protocols in a medical distribution environmentForklift experience required; onsite certification training will be providedPreferred Qualifications:Previous experience in warehouse or distribution facility maintenanceFamiliarity with material handling equipment and battery systemsKnowledge of industrial cleaning and safety proceduresExperience in healthcare or pharmaceutical distribution environments#MMjobs
