Janitor

We are looking for self-motivated and safety-conscious candidates who would like to join our production/maintenance team. New employees can potentially earn $57K in total compensation when working at Canam Steel Corp for a 50-hour work week.  This includes the base rate, overtime and production bonuses.   Provide excellent customer service by maintaining the cleanliness of the site. Clean up scrap metal and other materials from around the production lines; collect and properly dispose of other waste materials resulting from steel fabrication process. Assist with maintaining a clean warehouse and shipping yard, including sweeping and trash removal. Occasionally use overhead crane to move materials on production floor. Perform all job duties to meet all quality standards and in a safe manner according to CSC's safety program. Forklift experience a plus Perform other custodial duties as required by supervisor. High School diploma or equivalent. At least 6 months experience working in a heavy manufacturing or heavy industrial environment. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers. Provide outstanding customer service to internal customers and uphold CSC's values Physical Requirements Perform a wide range of physical activities ranging from continuous standing, walking, sitting, climbing -- to crouching, kneeling, bending, twisting, and stooping. Use hands/arms to grasp, hold, push/pull material of various weights and lengths. Lift/carry light to heavy objects up to 60lbs. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. Work Environment Open shop environment -- may be exposed to cold and hot work spaces, including working in inclement weather such as rain. May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
