The Clinical Director plays a critical role in creating a supportive environment for staff and patients while ensuring exceptional care delivery.Responsibilities of the Clinical DirectorPlan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate the nursing service department's programs and activities, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and local regulations.Coordinate nursing services with other departments to ensure seamless care delivery.Enhance clinical expertise among staff to provide safe and high-quality care.Oversee internal case management, nursing talent evaluation, and professional development.Conduct "Start of Care Assessments" and "Re-evaluations" to transition patients to home care.Collaborate with operations and business development teams.Maintain and improve a comprehensive quality assurance program for nursing services.Participate in facility surveys conducted by regulatory agencies.Assist with discharge planning to ensure patients receive proper care and support at home.Support recruitment, training, and validation of clinical staff.Review physicians' orders and update care plans and documentation as necessary.Qualifications of the Clinical DirectorActive RN license in good standing in the state of practice.Minimum of 1 year of hands-on nursing experience (1 year of management experience preferred).Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and ability to travel within the designated territory.Current CPR certification from AHA or ARC.Willingness to supervise nurses providing in-home skilled care to infants, children, adolescents, and/or adults.Note: As an employer receiving Medicare and Medicaid funds, Aveanna employees must comply with all health-related requirements, including vaccinations and testing, subject to medical or religious exemptions.Take the Next Step in Your Career!Join a team where you can grow, lead, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
