The position provides client contact for all post-installation problems on systems and equipment, as well as, special project work, when needed.Job Duties· Respond to trouble tickets to ensure application uptime and system performance.· Work individually and as a team to diagnose and resolve application issues.· Execute preventative maintenance tasks to maximize application availability and identify system faults.· Perform routine configuration changes (user permissions, application configuration, etc.)· Document all system modifications through a digital change control tracking system.· Produce quality technical documentation describing the conceptual and quantitative facets of system deployment, intended for both a technical and non-technical audience.· Perform pre-deployment end to end testing of all upgrades and major modifications.· Perform on site installations of software upgrades and major modifications. Minimum Requirements 1. Experience in fire & security system installation.2. Test and repair alarm systems already in place3. Perform inspections to ensure alarms are installed according to code4. Respond to emergency service calls5. Install equipment for fire alarm systems with the guidance of building plans and electrical layouts6. Mount devices at appropriate locations, performing all necessary tasks, such as drilling holes for cabling and accessing locations such as crawlspaces or attics to ensure optimal wiring layouts7. Install all wiring to connect system components, complying with all applicable safety standards and with customer’s concerns or preferences8. Inspect and test systems to ensure all components are performing well and comply with safety requirements9. Identify and repair malfunctions in system components or wiring, including identifying and installing replacement parts as necessary10. Compose and submit documentation and reports for each installation or repair visit, complying with company’s standard operating procedure11. Test backup batteries, keypad programming, sirens, and all security features in order to ensure proper functioning, and to diagnose malfunctions.maintain, or repair security systems, alarm devices, and related equipment,12. NICET level II certification preferred (requires prior experience or training)13. Energetic, self-starter with a positive attitude* Certification in the following is a plus.
