Description **This PRN role will support Mon-Fri surgery centers on an as needed basis. Day shift only**Surgery Ventures, powered by HCA Healthcare is hiring a Temporary Operating Room Nurse for a seasonal commitment to help meet staffing demands during our high-volume season. Our seasonal RN’s earn high pay rates and have priority over future FT/PT/PRN positions after the seasonal program ends.RN Seasonal Rate: $50.00Schedule: Temporary (October 1, 2025 to December 31, 2025)Seasonal Requirements:Current HCA/SVG employees are not eligible to transfer into the seasonal programAll Seasonal Staff are required to work a minimum of 24 hours per week / 48 hours per pay period during the seasonal period to qualifySeasonal Staff may be asked to float to another center within the same division/market if emergent staffing needs exist Seasonal Staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call-off· Schedules/shifts may vary based on center needsJob Summary and QualificationsAs a Seasonal OR Nurse, you will contribute to the company’s mission and vision by utilizing the nursing process in planning, executing, and evaluating the nursing care given to the surgical patient during the intra-operative period.What you will do in this role:You will rotate to other ambulatory surgery center facilitiesDemonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures and have the ability to oversee instrument and equipment set-up, prepare for the case utilizing preference cards, and anticipate needs of surgeonCoordinate and oversee the room during a case as the circulatorFacilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical proceduresUtilize preference cards and update as necessaryRelay appropriate hand off communication to PACU staff to ensure continuity of careQualifications you will need:Nursing DiplomaMinimum 1 year of experience nursing experienceActive RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensureValid BCLS & ACLS Certifications required upon employment (online certification not acceptable)PALS (Within 90 days, or earlier per Dept arrangement)CNOR certification preferredHCA’s Surgery Ventures Float Pool supports the MidAmerica Market by providing patient care among our 8 ambulatory surgery centers in the Kansas City Metro.
