Office Administrator/ Paralegal- LA, CA - Hybrid Law firm seeks a proactive and experienced Paralegal to work with our Securities Litigation Department in their Los Angeles office. Specifically, the Paralegal will assist with conducting research, proofreading, cite-checking, bluebooking, and filing of court documents. Key Paralegal Responsibilities: Perform legal and factual research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, BloombergLaw, AlphaSense, and other systems Proofread and cite-check/fact-check briefs, complaints, and other documents Prepare for depositions, hearings, trials and/or client meetings (includes scheduling with multiple parties including outside counsel and vendors, preparing exhibits, etc.) Maintain time entries in iTimeKeep Key Office Administration Duties: Serve as the primary point of contact with building management, security and vendors; facilitate building access for visitors, maintenance and repairs Answer phones and greet clients and visitors; screen telephone calls, mail, and packages Create UPS and FedEx labels and prepare packages for shipping; assist with printing and binding needs Order office and kitchen supplies and manage inventory Ensure the office, conference room, and storage room remain neat and fully stocked with needed supplies Maintain kitchen amenities, including keeping kitchen and supply area stocked, clean, and functional Assist with the onboarding of new hires in collaboration with the Managing Director of HR Organize office parties and birthday celebrations, and other ad-hoc projects as they arise Take on additional administrative duties or special projects that may arise to support fluctuating office needs Position Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, plus 3-5 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm (securities litigation experience is a plus, as is class action experience) Experience with e-filing or assisting in e-filing in federal district courts Solid experience and skills performing cite checking and Bluebooking Strong research skills and proficiency in using various research tools including the Internet, Westlaw, LexisNexis, PACER, BloombergLaw, and other court and news-related sources needs, as needed Occasional flexibility with shifting work hours (i.e. beginning early or staying late, separate from overtime), if business needs require Work Environment: This is a full-time, non-exempt position based in Los Angeles, CA This is a hybrid role typically 3-4 days in-office (Tuesdays and Wednesdays required); 1-2 days work-from-home Salary 85k-115k;BCBS,Dental, 401k
