Facilities HVAC Technician - Boiler Specialist

What this job involves: We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician with specialized expertise in boiler systems to join our facilities management team. In this role, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the maintenance, repair, and optimization of HVAC systems with particular emphasis on boiler operations and management.What your day-to-day will look like: Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on commercial boilers including hot water, steam, and condensing systemsConduct regular inspections and testing of boiler systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standardsDiagnose and troubleshoot complex issues with boiler equipment and related HVAC componentsMonitor and maintain water treatment systems for boilers to prevent scale formation and corrosionPerform combustion analysis and adjust to ensure maximum boiler efficiencyMaintain detailed logs of all maintenance activities, repairs, and system parametersRespond to emergency calls for boiler system failures and implement appropriate solutionsCollaborate with the facilities team on energy conservation initiatives and system upgradesEnsure compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and safety standardsMaintain inventory of parts and supplies necessary for boiler and HVAC system maintenancePerform general building maintenance duties including but not limited to plumbing, lighting, fixture and hardware installation, preventative upkeep, and responding to facility service requests to ensure proper functioning of building systems and equipment.Work Schedule First shift on-site position Rotating On Call Availability RequiredRequired Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in HVAC systems requiredThorough understanding of hot water, steam, and condensing boiler systemsExperience with building automation systems and energy management controlsStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsKnowledge of water chemistry and treatment methods for boiler systemsAbility to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematicsValid driver's license with clean driving recordAbility to lift up to 40 poundsWork in various environments including mechanical rooms, confined spaces, and rooftopsClimb ladders and work at heights when necessaryStand, kneel, and bend for extended periodsPreferred Qualifications:  EPA certification (Universal preferred)Boiler operator license or certification a plus3+ years of experience in commercial HVAC maintenance with specialized knowledge of boiler systems#BEjobs#HVACjobs#MMjobs#MHVACjobs#OEjobs
