Lead HVAC Service Technician

What this job involves:This position is a truck-based, mobile technician role responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, water chillers, and various mechanical, plumbing, and electrical building systems. You'll travel to different commercial properties within a specified region, work independently with minimal supervision, and identify energy-saving opportunities while maintaining facilities in peak operational condition.Your day-to-day tasks will include:Diagnosing and troubleshooting commercial HVAC systems including pumps, motors, air handlers, and controlsPerforming preventive maintenance on building mechanical systems to ensure optimal performanceExecuting basic plumbing and electrical repairs in compliance with applicable codes and regulationsIdentifying and implementing energy-saving opportunities through system and operational improvementsManaging work orders through computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)Communicating effectively with team members, contractors, building occupants, and clientsOperating in various environmental conditions, from mechanical rooms to outdoor settingsDesired experience and technical skillsRequirements:Valid state driver's licenseMinimum 5 years of technical experience in all aspects of building engineeringStrong background in packaged HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment repairHigh school diploma or GEDUniversal EPA 608 CertificationProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and web-based applicationsAbility to use tablets, laptops, and mobile devices for work order managementCapability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 100 poundsComfort working at heights up to 30 feet on laddersPreferred:Knowledge of overall MEP/HVAC system design and applicationExperience managing work orders using CMMS technologyPrevious service-related role experience specific to commercial facilitiesStrong communication skills, both written and verbalSelf-starter mentality with strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude#HVACjobs
