This position will be a full-time and onsite contract in Arden, North Carolina.  This is a 2nd shift position Monday-Friday 3:00pm - 11:00pm.This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.What You’ll Do Polish and test fiber optic cablesAssemble and package fiber optic connector componentsTerminate single and multi-fiber cablesInspect own work using quality standards and work instructionsConduct tests as needed for particular operationsMeasure components using calipers, gages, or other measuring devicesInspect product to printComplete necessary operational paperwork required to maintain the traceability of productMay troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipmentGeneral housekeeping of work areaFollow company and department guidelines, procedures and policiesFollow safety guidelinesPerform all other work-related duties as assignedRead and perform tasks according to drawingsRecognize common fiber connectorsKnowledge of cleaning methods and contamination assessment for optical assembly   What You'll Need RequiredHigh School Diploma or GEDWorking knowledge of hand tools and blueprint readingAvailable to work overtime to support production goals as neededTeam Oriented - will work effectively and cohesively with other employees to achieve required objectives and goalsCredibility - takes responsibility for his/her own workRespects confidential information and concerns shared by othersA safe and quality conscious attitudePreferredMinimum one year manufacturing experience preferredExperience with manufacturing fiber cables preferredSAP Manufacturing & ISO 9001 experience is preferred Physical Demands Must be able to move materials weighing up to 50 poundsMust be able to remain in stationary position 75% of the timeMust be able to operate machineryMust be able to move between work zonesMust be proficient and able to understand written instructions in English languageThe pay range for this position is $19.37 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will include medical coverage as well as 401k retirement account access.
