Linux Engineer

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Linux Engineer to join our team onsite in San Diego, CA. This is an onsite position.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Provide technical remote and onsite support and guidance to NCTE Range end-users, addressing IT-related issues and inquiries in a timely and professional mannerDiagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to system configurations and network connectivity for Range POR systemsAbility to work with Domain Name System (DNS) andDynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and Windows/Linux environments and familiarity with Active Directory in Windows environmentsWriting standard operating procedures (SOPs) for IT systems and processesStrong understanding of Linux networking, patching, and operating systems, especially Red Hat 6,7,8 and 9, as well as Linux filesystems and Logical Volume Management (LVM)Up to 25% travelMinimum Qualifications:High School Diploma and 5+ years of relevant IT systems experienceExperience in systems administration, with proficiency in both Linux and Windows environmentsMust have Security+ CE certificationMust have VMware, Windows, or Linux Operating System (OS) certification.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldClearance Requirements:US Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearancePhysical Requirements:Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the timeConstantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and printerBe able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
