Duties for this position include: driving guests to designated pick up/ drop off spots around the resort, responding to injured guest pick up, maintaining the general appearance of the shuttles as well as fluid level checks. It is also an important responsibility of Shuttle Drivers to conduct vehicle inspections when necessary. A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is not necessary for this role; however the applicant must meet the minimum requirements of the Alterra's Driver's Standards Policy.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.WAGE: The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resorts hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resorts total compensation package for employees. With the evolution of this resort and position, the responsibilities of this position may change.Shuttles guests around Winter Park Resort in a safe and friendly mannerGreets guests upon arrival and addresses guest concernsMust be knowledgeable about the ski area, community, activities, directions, dinner recommendations, etc...Maintains the vehicle including: vacuum & cleaning interior, removes trash at the end of every shift, wash & fuels vehicle, checks fluid levels and alerts management when vehicle needs service.Abides by the dress code, policies, and procedures maintained by Winter Park ResortPromotes at all times a cooperative and problem-solving atmosphereIs responsible for the best possible service to the guest, while maintaining a safe environment for both guests and employeesOther duties as assigned, including: assisting other departments, special projects, and miscellaneous dutiesOther Duties:Assist guests and employees with directions and information in a friendly, professional manner. Effectively handle first-line conflicts and problems.Operate resort vehiclesAssist grounds crew with general duties, snow removal, and sanding duties around assigned work area.Pick up litter and remove trash in parking lots, skier drop off, and transportation circle.Control special event and VIP parking areas during special events.Assist local police or sheriff's office, security, and/or ski patrol with emergency evacuation and accident response.Communication with law enforcement and TOWP maintenance personnelBe in communication with Trans Dev shuttle driversPerform other duties as assigned.This job description is an overview of the scope of responsibilities and is not intended to be an inclusive list of job tasks and expectations. With the evolution of this resort and position, the responsibilities of this position may change.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Must have valid driver's licenseAbility to pass a driving background checkMust be 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or GED desirableExperience with shuttle driving or hospitality desirable Must possess strong communication skills with the ability to interact in a positive manner with guests and employeesMust be able to handle complaints and difficult customers in a polite and professional mannerMust be able to sit in a bus for most of the day, with minimal breaksAbility to perform multiple tasks simultaneouslyAbility to read and comprehend instructions in a variety of forms including written, oral, and diagram Is honest and has the highest integrityFollows established policies and proceduresCan handle fast paced, potentially high-pressure environmentResponds promptly to customer needs and solicits customer feedback for improvementOutgoing & Friendly PersonalityPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:Capable of sitting for long periods of time while driving internal routesThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
