Project Coordinator

Description Leidos Engineering has an opportunity for a Project Coordinator (PC) who will work alongside project managers, lead engineers and account managers supporting substation engineering projects for various electric utility clients throughout the Northern United States. The PC will be part of an established team within our Power Delivery Solutions (PDS) division. PDS provides consulting services to public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities for comprehensive engineering design of electrical transmission, substation, and distribution projects nationwide.As a valued team member, you can look forward to a fast paced, diverse work environment and flexible work hours/work arrangements, as well as managers who will encourage career development and growth opportunities, including:Project Management Professional (PMP) Formal Mentorship programsDevelopmental Leadership trainingTechnical Upskilling Oppportunities Management opportunities  Primary Responsibilities:Assist project management teams in planning, organizing, and managing various projects, providing detailed data to support decision-makingDevelop, maintain, and update project schedules using established computer platformsTrack milestones, deliverables, and resource assignmentsSet up and manage project collaboration tools such as Teams and SharePoint sitesCreate and maintain comprehensive project reports, dashboards, and KPI trackingPrepare weekly/monthly progress reports for internal and client reviewSupport monthly client invoice processes and track project hours to ensure alignment with budgets and contractsTrack and report project costs, risks, and schedules, assisting in the development of recovery plans when necessaryFacilitate meetings by preparing agendas, taking meeting minutes, and tracking action items to ensure follow-up and completionRequired QualificationsEducation/Experience:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field with 0-2+ years of relevant experience preferredAn Associate’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or a related field with 2-4+ years of relevant experience will be consideredFamiliarity with the electric utility industry is highly desirableTechnical Skills needed for this role:Experience with MS Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Experience with project management software (e.g., Workfront, MS Project or P6) is preferredSoft Skills that will help you succeed in this position:Strong organizational, planning, and multitasking capabilities are required to manage competing priorities and deadlinesStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentLocation:Candidates should possess a valid US driver’s licenseHybrid office attendance (2-3 days in office, remaining days work from home) in one of the following offices is highly preferred: Walled Lake, MI; Charlotte, NCPlease Note that Sponsorship and other immigration related monetary benefits are not available for this position. At Leidos, We pride ourselves on being a trusted and technology-focused solutions provider.
