Overview: Position Title: Staff Accountant- SEC ReportingDepartment: CorporateReports To: SEC Reporting ManagerStatus: Exempt/ Full Time/ HybridLocation: Bensalem, PA Responsibilities: Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is currently seeking to fill the position of Staff Accountant – SEC Reporting to join our growing corporate team in Bensalem, PA! HCSG’s Accounting & Finance department is looking to add a new member to our team in Bensalem, PA. The Staff Accountant - SEC Reporting is a hybrid role that will report directly to the SEC Reporting Manager. You’ll be responsible for assisting in preparing the company’s financial statements as well as monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis for assigned accounts. The ideal candidate is diligent, detail-oriented, and willing to learn! Position SummaryAssist with preparing SEC filings including 10-Qs, 10-Ks, and other ad-hoc filingsAssist with preparing annual proxy statementsPrepare journal entries and account reconciliations for assigned areasMaintain internal controls for assigned areas and analyze account fluctuationsCompile audit documentation including audit sample requests and documentation of internal controls performedPerform research covering new accounting guidance and other technical accounting matters and prepare memos covering findingsHybrid role that requires an in-office presence 3 days a week QualificationsBachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent is required1–3 years of experience in public accounting or relevant industryExcellent general accounting skills, with working knowledge of US GAAP standards and SEC guidance, and ability to research and document accounting issuesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and WordExperience with Workiva (Wdesk) for SEC reportingExcellent interpersonal skills with strong oral and written communication abilitiesAbility to work independently, take initiative, and meet deadlinesCPA license, or eligibility to become a CPA and desire to pursue the license, is preferred Benefits:Competitive salaryComprehensive healthcare and dental benefitsStock purchase planProfessional development opportunities Who We AreHealthcare Services Group (HCSG) is an experienced partner managing housekeeping, laundry, dining, and nutritional services within the healthcare market.
