Job Title: Journeyman Plumber - Data Center OperationsWhat this job involves: As a Journeyman Plumber at JLL, you will maintain and service the specialized plumbing and piping systems that support critical data center operations. You'll work with chilled water systems, condenser water loops, domestic water services, and fire suppression systems that are essential to the continuous operation of mission-critical facilities. This role requires expertise in commercial plumbing systems and the ability to work within the unique constraints of data center environments where system reliability is paramount.Your day-to-day tasks will include:• Install, maintain, and repair chilled water and condenser water piping systems supporting critical cooling infrastructure• Service and maintain domestic water systems, restroom facilities, and emergency eyewash/shower stations• Perform preventive maintenance on water treatment systems, backflow preventers, and pressure reducing valves• Troubleshoot plumbing system leaks, pressure issues, and flow problems using specialized diagnostic equipment• Execute planned maintenance on fire suppression systems including sprinkler heads, water flow alarms, and post indicator valves• Respond to emergency plumbing issues including water leaks near critical IT equipment with immediate action• Maintain accurate documentation of all plumbing work, system modifications, and water quality testing results• Support plumbing infrastructure upgrades and expansions to accommodate data center growth requirements• Ensure compliance with plumbing codes, health regulations, and facility water management policiesDesired experience and technical skills:Requirements:• Valid Journeyman Plumber license in applicable jurisdiction• Minimum 5 years of commercial or industrial plumbing experience• Experience with large-scale hydronic systems and chilled/condenser water piping• Knowledge of fire suppression systems, backflow prevention, and water treatment equipment• Ability to read and interpret plumbing schematics, isometric drawings, and technical specifications• Proficiency with pipe cutting, welding, soldering, and mechanical joining methods• Strong troubleshooting skills using pressure gauges, flow meters, and leak detection equipment• Physical ability to work in confined spaces, mechanical rooms, and lift up to 50 lbs• Availability for on-call emergency response and flexible schedulingPreferred:• Data center or mission-critical facility experience• Experience with glycol systems and specialized cooling water treatment• Knowledge of building automation systems and plumbing monitoring equipment• Backflow prevention certification and cross-connection control training• Medical gas piping or clean room plumbing experience• Associate degree in Plumbing Technology or Mechanical Systems• Water treatment certification or water quality management training
