Claims Technical Specialist

As a Claims Technical Specialist, you will play an integral role in ensuring the effective management of complex and high-exposure claims. You will apply your technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, leadership skills, and a strong commitment to ensuring delivery of high-quality outcomes for both the organization and its customers.This position will be seated in our office in Stevens Point, WI, Davenport, IA, Nashville, TN, or Goldsboro, NC.What You’ll Do:Effectively assess and address complex claim  issues by applying comprehensive understanding of the organizations standards, procedures. And philosophies related to claims handling.Stay abreast of legislative changes, court decisions, and industry tends that may impact claims practices, recommending and implementing changes to claims processes and practices as necessary.Provide oversight of claims to settlement, ensuring that outcomes are fair and in line with company policies and procedures.Contribute to the development of technical contact for training programs aimed at enhancing the understanding of claims standards, policies, procedures, and processes among claim staff.Effectively communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.What it Takes:Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience8+ years of related work experience, experience as a technical specialist, claims manager, or similar experience sufficient to develop a high degree of technical expertise.Proficiency in working independently.What You'll Receive:At Sentry, your total rewards go beyond competitive compensation.
