The posting may close early due to the volume of applicants.The Chief of Staff for Wealth Management & Field Management supports some the firm's most senior leaders and their team in helping drive the day-to-day management and operations of the firm's largest teams across Wealth Management, Market Management and Practice Management - and helping inspire action and growth across Edward Jones 45,000 FAs and Client Support Team Members.The Chief of Staff will be responsible for developing, implementing and evolving critical business initiatives and leading accountability processes for a broad range of ongoing work. The role will engage in a wide range of activities including strategic planning, operational performance, communications, team administration, event management, executive service and response management, and other high-impact, cross-functional, collaborative work efforts. Strong judgment, impeccable trust and discretion, decisive decision making, informed prioritization and task juggling, and multi-channel communication skills are essential, as is willingness to drive ambitious timelines and occasionally intense deadline management. The Chief of Staff needs to be curious, humble, hungry for growth and prepared to hustle with heart to enable others to be successful and ensure the success of the team. The individual must be willing to build networks, coalitions and partnerships given the wide breadth of responsibilities - both with internal and external stakeholders. The role builds and leverages networks and working relationships to help connect strategic initiatives and prioritize the most critical areas of focus for the firm, progress work and influence execution that drives business outcomes. The individual must be flexible and able to operate in a dynamic environment. S/he has ownership and accountability to support not only the Head of Wealth Management & Field Management but also the relevant governing bodies in the business, where we will count on the leader to drive greater effectiveness, efficiency, agility and speed. This role will directly support the Head of Wealth Management & Field Management and enable the leadership team and the division to operate with greater efficiency, effectiveness, agility and speed, thereby enhancing their overall impact to the firm.Translate and link firm needs to Wealth Management & Field Management capabilities and potential solutions.Define and research new ideas and business opportunities.Provide decision support through data gathering, analyzing, and presenting considerations to relevant stakeholders.Draft communications and plan communications calendar for the division leader as well as the leadership team and division.Provide guidance, direction, decisions and solutions on behalf of the head of the division to move work forward with the appropriate input from others.Partner with others to resolve non-critical/non-complex topics directly and prioritize capacity and availability of the head of the division. Develop and maintain systems and processes to ensure accountability and timely deliverablesEnsure work is delegated to and fully empowered with the right stakeholders via effective communication channelsWork across the organization to understand operational trends through metric analysis. Escalate critical needs and facilitate the development of recommendations to resolve issues. Ensure enterprise leader has visibility into trends and actions. Partner with others to design and implement processes and protocols that maximize the impact of the senior leader internally and externally to the organization.
