Key Responsibilities: Conduct quality control tests on ready-mix concrete, including slump, air content, unitweight, and strength testing. Sample and test raw materials such as aggregates, cement, and admixtures forcompliance with specifications. Monitor concrete batch processes to ensure consistency and adherence to mix designs. Document and analyze test results, identifying and addressing any inconsistencies ordeviations. Work closely with plant operators, drivers, and contractors to resolve quality concernsand ensure customer satisfaction. Assist in developing and modifying concrete mix designs to meet project specifications. Ensure compliance with ASTM, ACI, DOT, and company-specific quality standards. Maintain calibration and proper operation of testing equipment. Conduct job site inspections to evaluate concrete performance and troubleshoot issuesas needed. Support the implementation of quality control and safety policies and procedures. Enter test data into data management system Follow proper company policies, procedures, laws, and regulations including OSHAsafety and quality standards Qualifications & Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in constructionmaterials, engineering, or a related field is a plus. 1+ years of experience in ready-mix concrete quality control, construction materialstesting, or a related field preferred. ACI (American Concrete Institute) or TxDOT certifications preferred or willingness toobtain. Strong understanding of concrete properties, mix designs, and testing procedures. Ability to interpret technical data and generate reports. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. While performing the duties of this job, the employee isregularly outside and exposed to various weather conditions including hot/coldtemperatures and rain/snow conditions. Required PPE includes safety shoes above ankles, safety vests, safety glasses, earplugs and hard hats. Additional PPE required if performing special jobs.
