Unlock your potential at HCA Florida University Hospital!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Ortho/Spine Navigator works on service line improvement, works with the director to maintain Joint Commission certifications, collaboration for comprehensive care and marketing to the community and leading the education efforts.Major Responsibilities:Develop long and short-term strategies to improve the Ortho and Spine service linesWork with hospital leadership to grow services and show year over year growthImprove attendance to surgery Pre-Op classesTeaching of Pre-Op and Discharge classes Visit patients the day of surgeryPerform discharge follow up calls with patients to address any questions or concernsLead preparations efforts to ensure joint commission certification ofCoordinate program with CMS/Insurance requirementsPhysician education regarding CMS/Insurance requirementsPost-Acute Care provider coordination/collaboration/relations Patient navigation post-acute careLead community education classes for Ortho and Spine programsWork with HCA Physician and Provider Relations team to increase awareness of the programs with physicians in the communityWork with marketing team to created awareness through healthy conversations and other sources like H2U. Performs other duties as assignedPractices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” and “Mission and Value Statement.” What qualifications you will need:Advanced Cardiac Life SptBasic Cardiac Life Support ​Ortho/Neuro Surgery clinical experience RN ​​Required​​​ Minimum 3-5 years Nursing Experience; Leadership Experience ​​Preferred​ HCA Florida University Hospital is a 165 bed hospital.
