Pay: $77900 - $88033 / year (paid hourly)Schedule: M - F; day shiftLocation: Redmond, WA | Meta campusWhat this job involves:Join JLL's elite engineering team supporting Meta's mission-critical facilities as a Building Engineer. In this dynamic role, you'll be the technical backbone ensuring seamless operations of sophisticated building systems while leading and mentoring apprentice engineers. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in lab and cleanroom environments while developing leadership skills and advancing your technical career with industry-leading training and development opportunities.What your day-to-day will look like:Lead apprentice engineers in troubleshooting and repairing critical system failures to minimize operational downtimeExecute preventative maintenance programs and system operations for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systemsMaintain detailed tracking logs for chemical consumption, equipment inspections, and operational proceduresCoordinate with engineering management and trade specialists to ensure quality services are completed on scheduleRespond promptly and professionally to tenant requests and emergency situations following established protocolsImplement and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Method of Procedures (MOPs) for system-specific operationsConduct emergency response activities including building evacuations, life safety system management, and coordination with emergency authoritiesRequired Qualifications:3+ years of experience as a Building Engineer or equivalent facilities technical trade with strong commercial HVAC skillsHigh school diploma or equivalent educationDemonstrated supervisory and leadership skills with ability to influence and mentor other engineersProficiency with testing equipment including digital multi-meters, pressure/temperature devices, and air flow measuring equipmentStrong knowledge of building systems operations and cross-functional equipment relationshipsAbility to work flexible shifts including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency on-call rotationMust be able to work in both indoor (40%) and outdoor (60%) environmentsPreferred Qualifications:Experience working in lab and cleanroom environmentsSpecific trade licenses applicable to role (Boiler Operator, Maintenance Electrician, EPA CFC Universal Certification, etc.)Previous experience in high-stress, high-demand operational environmentsExperience working with vendors for work execution and quality controlBackground in mission-critical facility operations or data center environmentsNote: This position requires signing a Non-Disclosure Agreement due to the confidential nature of client operations.#HVACjobs
