What you will doJohnson Controls is seeking an Electrical Engineer that can process engineering bills of materials and drawings to provide a clear-to-build production release for a large commercial air handling product. This may include Computer Room Air Handlers. Responsibilities include performing engineering support activities that may require hands-on construction and testing for the development of new or modified components or products. You will also troubleshoot electrical device problems in a production environment to ensure that issues are resolved efficiently and support software teams. This position is located in York, PA. Candidates must be commuting distance to the York, PA, facility or able to relocate.How you will do itProvide technical support to and communication among the Engineering and Production teams to assist in efficient execution of building air handling units which includes Variable Speed Drives and other types of electrical and control assembliesSupport application and sales teams by providing guidance and executing special requestsPrepare non-standard sketches and drawings and prepare design documentsReview and mark drawings to support drafting and designPerform simple routine system and component calculations, selections, and write specificationsSupport the factory by coordinating and completing the programming of controllersTroubleshoot nonconforming systems and components for manufacturing, service, test lab, etc and make recommendationsPerform tests and suggest test proceduresProvide technical guidance and assistance to electricians and mechanics as necessary to complete and coordinate activitiesProvide and exchange technical information to vendors, customers, and inspectors for assigned products and componentsFollow codes and procedures related to jobProvide limited training to others in areas of technical and practical knowledgeFollow, and participate in creation of standard procedures, test Standards, test procedures, and processesAdhere to the Company’s Code of Conduct and Business Ethics standardsWhat we look forRequiredBS degree in Electrical Engineering or Associates degree with equivalent experienceWillingness to work in the office daily, located in York, PAAbility to use CAD to produce 2/3D drawings (AutoCad / Inventor)Up to 10% travelPreferredExperience and knowledge of HVAC fundamentalExperience and knowledge of HVAC and controlsHIRING SALARY RANGE: $67,000 - $91,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
