Facility: Luverne Medical Center Location: Luverne, MN Address: 1600 N Kniss Ave, Luverne, MN 56156, USA Shift: Day Job Schedule: Part time Weekly Hours: 20.00 Salary Range: $33.50 - $48.00 Department Details An applicant for this position will perform a variety of duties in the peri-operative setting ranging from pre-op assessment, admission, and teaching - circulating duties during procedures, and phase I and phase II recovery for patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures in GI, General, OB/GYN, Urology, and Ophthalmology. As a member of this team, you will also educate patients during scheduling, pre-operative calls, and follow up post-operative phone calls. An applicant must possess the skills and knowledge necessary to be proficient in all areas of assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation as well as a high degree of responsibility to patient safety and strict confidentiality. A sense of responsibility and knowledge for maintaining sterile techniques and transmission-based precautions. This position also requires the ability to operate various operating room supplies/equipment and be able to type and use computers proficiently. Prior experience preferred but not required, we will ensure you gain the knowledge to make you confident and successful. Schedule: - 6:30am-3:00pm Monday-Friday - Scheduled work hours will vary depending on the case load. - Call commitment: o 1-2 nights per work week and every fifth weekend. o 1-2 holidays per year. o Call team members - Surgeon, Anesthetist, RN, and CST o 20-minute response time Overview: - Critical Access Hospital - General surgery, Out Reach Providers, and Endoscopy. - @ 800 cases annually (70/Month) Majority of cases are Endo/GI Qualifications: - Very collaborative. - Open communication is necessary. - Cheerful outlook. - Available and ready to help each other. - Adaptability. - Prior experience preferred but not required. Responsibilities * Plans and coordinates patient care, assessment, education, triage and various other nursing interventions * Collaborates with colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement and evaluate care * Empathetically cares for patients during all stages of preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up along the continuum of care * Demonstrates competency and uses comprehensive nursing expertise Qualifications Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred. Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
