Commercial Analytics Intern

In addition to the multiple weekly events attended by all interns, you’ll work alongside industry experts for a 12-week internship beginning May 18, 2026. In this role, you will be part of the Business Intelligence organization within the Operations group. As a primary part of the Commercial Analytics (CA) Team, and by giving additional support to the Optimization Team, you will be responsible for (1) Applying advanced analytical capabilities in Tableau to assist with customer trends for our commercial organization, (2) Collaborating with data analysts, SME’s, and other key stakeholders in the business to develop a breadth of knowledge about the finance and insurance industry, and working with other analysts on both teams to enhance, automate, and optimize current data modeling and reporting procedures.THE PROGRAM Enact’s Internship Program provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in achieving business results while developing technical and professional skills. It’s a unique internship experience that helps interns develop a network of peers and mentors who act as a source of constant engagement and guidance during the internship.LOCATIONEnact Headquarters, Raleigh, NC – Hybrid ScheduleYOUR RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate with partners in Sales, Marketing, Pricing, Risk, Customer Solutions, Underwriting, and other functions to define business questions, prepare data, build predictive and prescriptive models, and communicate its insights and recommended actionsDesign, create and implement advanced analytics and forecasting models to optimize business processes; provide insights for decision making using Machine Learning and traditional statistical modelingUsing large datasets, develop and perform exploratory data analysis and build advanced machine learning models using structured and unstructured dataCommunicate the ML models and methods in a logical and understandable manner for non-analytical business users and model governance teamsYOUR QUALIFICATIONSStudent in a quantitative research field such as: Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Demography / Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Data Science, Quantitative Social Sciences, Epidemiology, Engineering, etcHands-on experience leveraging visualization software such as Tableau or Sigma ComputingProficient in Excel, some experience with Snowflake and/or SQLStrong analytical and critical thinking skills, willing to ask questions, but also work independentlyStrong communication (oral, written, interpersonal, and presentation) skillsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSHands-on experience developing solutions using Python (Pandas, Scikit-learn), Spark, database query and management tools (SQL), in a cloud platform like SnowflakeHands-on experience with multiple Machine Learning models, time series forecasting, optimization, and other predictive modeling techniques.
