Team members play a crucial role in conducting experiments, analyzing data, and translating findings into actionable improvements for P&G's baby care portfolio. The Baby Care team is looking for someone to join their team in a new role, Upstream Process and Controls Research Specialist. Key Responsibilities: This role will be responsible for the maintenance and project support for the Baby Care Process and Engineering Research Lab. This role will include auditing, maintaining and preparing/updating the electronics and control systems for development equipment. We are looking for an individual who is inspired by hands-on experimentation and basic science/troubleshooting activities. This role will include day-to-day applied research including:Utilizing electrical test equipment to diagnose high-speed assembled product electrical problems and analyze trends/technical data to gain insights on controls and proactively identify issues.Performing preventative maintenance and upgrades to equipment, as well as modifying existing equipment/software to meet new testing requirements.Maintaining and troubleshooting high-speed packing, process, and utilities power and controls equipment, while also troubleshooting, monitoring, and programming PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems, as well as variable frequency drives and servo control systems to ensure optimal performance.The ideal candidate will enjoy helping others develop technical skills and possess a collaborative, inclusive work style, backed by a solid foundation in math and science for following detailed instructions and making critical observations. Strong problem-solving abilities and manufacturing experience are essential. Proficiency in GMP, documentation, programming, and low voltage qualifications are important, as well as the ability to work effectively with project teams to set up and execute tests on PRL test stands, ensuring a clear understanding of testing objectives and equipment capabilities. Additionally, strong documentation and communication skills are required to follow good engineering practices and effectively document learnings for others to build upon.
