Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Experience: • 24 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. • Must have at least 22 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience. • Travel experience is preferred from any number of months. • Experience with Epic is required from any number of months. Requirements: • Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission). • This role will require floating to multiple units • Local & travel allowed. Additional Details: Previous Employment Requirements: References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location Required Skills/Experience: IV starts, tele, Tracheostomy Management Preferred Skills/Experience: Oncology experience Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program. Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: Patient Diagnoses: Head and Neck cancers -Neuro-oncology -Brain tumors Special Procedures/Unit Details: Tracheostomy care including suctioning, general trach care and changing the inner cannula: Required -Drain management - JP, Hemovacs -Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls Types of Patients on Unit: Adults, Geriatrics Equipment Used on Unit: B450 monitors GE telemetry system Bladder Scanner Alaris pumps Stryker beds Unit/Facility Details: Mixed Acuity - PCU and MS patients Number of Beds: 36 Shift & Scheduling: No set schedule, no set weekend, no block schedule, the facility determines the complete schedule (could possibly end up working every weekend) Self-schedule requests - you will enter your schedule requests so we can see your preferred schedule before balancing and posting the final schedule Pre-Approved Time Off: 1 Request RTO required with submission, must be built into contract. Floating Requirements: Required to float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity. Float to other MedSurg Oncology units Details: • AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: Please request an interview for one match from this facility at a time. You will not interview with the hiring manager if the facility chooses to extend an offer to you for this position. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment.
