Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Experience: • 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. • Must have at least 24 months of Intensive Care Unit experience. • BSN completion preferred Requirements: • Candidates must have a District of Columbia license (required for submission). • This role will require floating to multiple units • Local & travel allowed. Additional Details: Transplant ICU Required Skills/Experience: Interpretation and Management of dysrhythmias, Multi-system organ failure, IV insulin protocols, GI surgery, Chronic/Acute Renal failure and IV therapy, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drains (EVD), Hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, Spinal cord injury, Traumatic Brain injury, Respiratory/Thoracic care, Infection Prevention, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Phlebotomy, Surgical Wounds with drains/Wound Vac. Preferred Skills/Experience: Charge experience. Teaching Hospital experience. Community Hospital experience. Types of Patients on Unit: Patient Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics Patient Diagnoses: Post-transplant (liver, kidney/pancreas, small intestine, islet cell, multivisceral), ESLD, ESRD, thoracic/abdominal/ENT/Flaps/General surgery, sepsis, multisystem organ failure, pre-transplant hepatology patients, overflow from neurosurgery (craniotomy, CVA, etc.), overflow from MICU. Unit/Facility Details: 24 beds. Shift & Scheduling: Weekends included in rotation. References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. Manager may or may not interview. Clinician must be okay with this. If Clinician has questions, please email the AM.
