Critical Care Float Pool - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience: • 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. • Must have at least 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience within the past 3 years. • Experience with Epic is required from any number of months. Requirements: • Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required for submission). • This role will require floating to multiple units • Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted. • COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted. • Flu vaccination required for submission. Additional Details: Shift & Scheduling: Evening/Night, 8/12 hrs shifts, 1900 - 07:30, with every other weekend rotation and some holidays. Required Skills/Experience: Must have experience with multiple ICU units (Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic, Burn ICU, Trauma Surgery, etc). ICU experience with adult populations required. Traveler must have experience in an Academic level 1 Trauma center. Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years. Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience. Floating Requirements: IMC/Progressive/General care populations as needed. Types of Patients on Unit: Adults, Geriatrics Parking: Permit required through UW Transportation if parking onsite Required Credentials: Pass/Fail Testing required with strict passing criteria. A telemetry exam will be required prior to start. The following criteria must be met in two attempts: Adult Exam: 100% identification of lethal rhythms: Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole No incorrect answers on questions regarding 3rd degree heart blocks [1 incorrect answer will cause failure] Passing score of 80% or higher Pediatric Exam Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia Passing score of 80% or higher Attempts: Traveler will have two attempts to pass. If the individual does not pass on the second attempt their contract may be cancelled. If the traveler fails the second attempt they will submit a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course to Vaya before a third attempt will be assigned. If the traveler does not pass after three attempts Vaya will notify recruitment of the results.
