Description Leidos is seeking a Software Developer to provide Post Production Software Support (PPSS) and Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) for the CECOM IEW&S Directorate Sensors and Mission Division (SMED). This position is based in Aberdeen, MD, supporting operations at Aberdeen Proving Ground and requires an active DoD Secret clearance.In this role, you’ll contribute to the development and sustainment of mission-critical sensor platforms by delivering technical services, software solutions, and subject matter expertise. Your work will support a wide range of advanced systems, including the Long-Range Advanced Scout Surveillance System (LRAS3), Biometric Automated Toolset Army (BAT-A), Second Generation Forward Looking Infrared (2GF), Persistent Surveillance System Tethered (PSS-T), Common Sensor Payload (CSP), Guardrail Common Sensor (GRCS), Enhanced Medium Altitude Reconnaissance and Surveillance System (EMARSS), Tactical SIGINT Payload (TSP), Airborne Reconnaissance Low (ARL-E), Small Tactical Radar Lightweight (STARLite), and other aerial sensor systems essential to maintaining operational readiness.Primary Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and optimize source code and software applicationsApply frameworks and manage the full software release lifecyclePerform programming, documentation, configuration management, testing, and debuggingCollaborate with system engineers to translate analytic and interface requirements into functional toolsDesign and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution applicationsWork independently or lead small teams to deliver robust sensor software solutionsBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 4+ years of experience, or Master’s with 2+ years (additional experience may substitute for degree)Active DoD Secret clearanceProven experience across the full software lifecycle in military systemsProficiency in C#, C++, .NET, Visual BasicFamiliarity with Microsoft Windows 10 and 11Strong documentation and configuration management skillsAbility to thrive in both independent and collaborative environmentsWillingness to travel up to 10% within the continental U.S.Experience working in matrixed team structuresPreferred Qualifications:Experience with virtual environments (e.g., VMware)Knowledge of Visual Studio and plug-in architecturesFamiliarity with tools like Eggplant, Jira, Confluence, Perforce Helix ALM, Git/GitHubEIO2024If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
