This hands-on role includes maintaining lawns, landscaping, snow removal, and general upkeep of outdoor areas. You’ll work mostly independently, handling seasonal grounds tasks and reporting any facility repair needs. ▶️Watch how we create comebacks. What You'll Do Routine grounds care: mowing, edging, trimming, weeding, raking, mulching, fertilizing, and pruning Landscaping: preparing grounds, planting, removing plants/weeds, adding ground cover Snow removal: plowing parking lots/driveways, shoveling/salting sidewalks and walkways General upkeep: maintaining fences, sidewalks, parking lots, and gutters; patching asphalt when needed Reporting: notify Program Manager and Facilities Manager of repair or safety issues Follow safety, licensing, and health code standards Assist with special projects as assigned Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Valid State of Michigan driver’s license required Able to work outdoors year-round (lifting, bending, shoveling, repetitive tasks) Ability to pass background checks as applicable Knowledge of hand and power tools; ability to operate plowing and snow-removal equipment Prior groundskeeping or maintenance experience preferred; must be able to handle all snow-plowing needs during winter Flexible schedule with on-call availability in all weather conditions Reliable attendance and ability to work independently with minimal supervision Our Commitment to Inclusion Our strength lies in our diversity—empowering us to meet the unique needs of over 34,000 individuals we serve each year.
