Description Electrical Engineer – Mission-Critical Power SystemsAre you a precision-driven engineer with a passion for protecting the backbone of vital infrastructure? Do you thrive in high-stakes environments where your technical expertise directly supports national security, institutional resilience, and 24/7 operational continuity?The Multi-Domain Solutions (MDS) division is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer who is ready to make a meaningful impact. In this role, you’ll work alongside senior engineers to design, analyze, and implement robust electrical power systems for mission-critical facilities across government, commercial, and institutional sectors. From power generation to distribution, your contributions will help ensure uninterrupted operations where failure is not an option.Primary ResponsibilitiesDesign and layout medium- and low-voltage electrical distribution systems for complex facilitiesPerform system studies—load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and grounding—using industry-standard tools (ETAP, SKM Power Tools, CYME, PSCAD)Develop single-line diagrams, protection/control schematics, and technical specifications for electrical equipmentParticipate in field inspections, equipment testing, and commissioning to validate system performance and design complianceAssess and select key components: transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, and protective relaysSupport SCADA integration, substation design, and renewable energy projectsEnsure compliance with NEC, IEEE, NESC, and other relevant codes and standardsCreate and revise design drawings using AutoCAD or Revit MEPCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to meet project milestones and deliverablesBasic QualificationsActive TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance (required)Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (or related field) with 8–12 years of experience, or Master’s with 6–10 yearsSolid understanding of electrical engineering principles, standards, and system designExperience in analog/digital circuit design, testing, and troubleshootingFamiliarity with hardware and electronic design tools and workflowsAbility to work independently on moderately complex tasks and contribute to larger initiativesStrong communication skills for technical collaboration across teamsKnowledge of electrical systems in applications such as radar, communications, and computingStrong problem-solving skills and analytical thinkingProven ability to resolve complex technical challengesPreferred QualificationsAnalog designDigital signal processing (DSP)Electrical construction and installationElectronic and hardware designRadio frequency (RF) systemsPower generation, transmission, and distributionFamiliarity with VHDL for digital system simulationProficiency in Python for automation, data analysis, or embedded applicationsExperience guiding product development from concept through implementationProject coordination or management experienceIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
