We Help You Make It!Our Diesel Mechanics pay range is $36- $40 hourly based on certifications and experience.401K with 2% automatic company contribution plus company match up to an additional 6%.Medical Benefits Start Day One!We offer weekly pay, low-cost Medical, Dental, and Vision for Family Coverage. $5,000 Retention bonus!Paid vacation time, sick, and personal time.Employee uniforms provided.$250 Quarterly tool allowanceEmployee referral program. $1,000 per referralStrong Safety Culture, newer equipment, and excellent local leadership.Schedule:Sunday - Thursday Nights4:00 PM - 12:30 AMESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  Troubleshoot, diagnose, rebuild, replace and complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, reefers, lift gates, etc.).Perform preventative maintenance within company standards.Complete documentation of all repair orders, PM list and parts accountability.Handle road service calls; perform road rescue/transport equipment as needed.Keep track of assigned repairs by logging in and out of the Shop Fax system.Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules and regulations and government guidelines.Maintain inventory and proper recordkeeping.Backup to other maintenance shop personnel.Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and Certifications.Performs other duties as assigned.SUPERVISION:N/ARELATIONSHIPSInternal: All Fleet Technicians, Drivers, Coordinators and ManagerExternal: Dealer Service ManagersWORK ENVIRONMENTOnsite: The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Must have 5 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic.Diagnostic and troubleshooting ability using fleet maintenance software.Successfully demonstrated independent analytical and problem-solving skills.Must furnish own personal hand tools.Ability to comply with EPA and OSHA regulations pertaining to the shop and fleet.Ability to read and understand technical and service manuals.Excellent communication skills; able to communicate with co-workers and drivers with demonstrated teamwork skills.Ability to manage multiple functions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.Computer and software experience.EDUCATIONHigh school diploma or equivalent required.CERTIFICATIONS/TRAININGBrake certificationLICENSESMust possess a valid driver's license.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSJPRO software experience.Welding abilityKnowledge with electrical schematicsBasic Microsoft Excel and Word skills.Leadership experience or qualificationsValid Class A CDL license and DOT certificationEPA 608 (Type 2 or Universal) certificationPhysical Requirements:JOB REQUIRES WORKER TO: 1.
