Our tailor-made solutions create lasting results across the public and commercial sectors, and we are trailblazers in bringing neurodiversity to the enterprise.Job SummaryAs the Assembly Operator, you will operate high-speed large-scale automated assembly machines.Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Assembly Operator. This position will be a full-time contract and on-site in Fairview, North Carolina.This is a 2nd shift position Monday-Friday 3:00 pm EST to 11:30 pm EST.This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee. What You'll DoResponsible for the safe operation of assigned high-speed large-scale automated assembly machinesMakes complex repairs and major adjustments to assembly equipment, including set-ups and changeoversPerforms quality checks per the quality inspection plan (QIP), documents specified measurements per print at required intervalsPerforms daily/weekly/monthly preventive and routine machine maintenance.Performs tooling adjustment (e.g., sharpening/conditioning, checking height of spring-loaded pins (pin-ou), keying features, bend stations, insertion stations)Replaces sensors, punches, dies, stock components, air cylinders, belts, etc.Adjusts housing feed based on associated standardsUses height indicator, ram optic, gauges and microscopic visual checksIdentifies and re-sets machine faults, clears jams, restarts production, removes and packages finished product.What You'll Need RequiredHigh School Diploma or GED equivalentStrong written and verbal communication skills in English are required to perform essential job functions including reading various signage throughout the facility, comprehensive understanding of various documentation, understanding and communicating processes to ensure workplace safety and job efficiency Physical Demands Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods, use hands for fine motor tasks such as handling or feeling objects, reach with arms and hands, and communicate effectively through speech and hearingThe role also requires the ability to handle small components under a microscope for prolonged durationsRegular physical demands include lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds routinely, up to 25 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 50 poundsSafety shoes are requiredThe pay range for this position is $19.37 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education.
