Job Description: CT Technologist – American ForkLocation: American Fork, UtahOrganization: Intermountain HealthEmployment Type: Full-TimeDepartment: Imaging ServicesPay: 29 - 54/hr dependent upon certification and experienceJob SummaryIntermountain Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate CT Technologist to join our Imaging Services team in American Fork. This role is responsible for performing high-quality CT scans while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate diagnostic imaging. You’ll work collaboratively with other technologists, radiologists, and healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care.Essential FunctionsMaintain ARRT or modality-specific competency in all clinical and technical functions.Ensure proper patient identification, verify orders, and prepare patients for exams.Perform CT exams according to department protocols; review images for quality and accuracy.Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.Complete studies within acceptable time limits without compromising quality or care.Assist and instruct students and other CT Technologists in protocols, positioning, and equipment use.Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns.Practice infection control and sterile techniques.Operate CT equipment and related information systems to ensure quality imaging.Maintain accurate records of patient data, procedures, and any adverse reactions.Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and equipment reporting.Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of anatomy and image evaluationProficient in equipment operation and contrast protocolsAbility to respond to emergencies and work independentlyEffective teamwork and communication skillsSkilled in electronic imaging and task prioritizationCommitment to maintaining a clean and safe environmentMinimum QualificationsLicenses/Certifications:ARRT(R) Radiography Certification/RegistrationRelevant state licensure (as required)Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providersPreferred QualificationsARRT(CT) Computed Tomography Certification/RegistrationCompletion of controlled substance and moderate sedation modules (where applicable)Facility-specific certifications (as required)1+ years of CT experienceWhy Join Intermountain Health?At Intermountain Health, we’re committed to improving the health of our communities and providing exceptional care. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.Need to walk and assist with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment. This includes pushing/pulling gurneys and portable equipment, including heavy items.
